ZerNona enjoyed a meaningful 58-year marriage with Claude Black. During their lives they not only upheld strong faith, but they spread their caring natures throughout the San Antonio community. ZerNona shared 49 years as First Lady of Mt. Zion Baptist Church alongside Reverend Black, the two acting as a pillar of the community.
